I love taking pictures, because I love memories. It delights me to supplement my journal records with visuals, and to capture images of the beautiful things I see. This year, I have made a practice of taking my camera everywhere, and it has been special to see how many opportunities I have had to capture special moments and sights that I otherwise could have only enjoyed in passing. There is great value in living in the moment and enjoying things without leaving a record, but I love to come back and enjoy the same things again and again.
