Autumn Leaves

This is my favorite time of the year. Not only is it fall, when the weather is finally crisp again and the trees are turning vibrant colors, but it is also NaNoWriMo, and I get to spend my free time working on a novel. The goal is to write 50,000 words in the month of November, and I have 96,000 words already. For three years, I have surpassed 100,000 words, but it always happened on day twenty-five or thirty; now, it's day thirteen and I have somehow already written this insane amount. No, I don't know this is possible, and yes, if you're a fellow participant, you're free to hate me for it. Now that I've given my update for anyone who cares, here is the point of the post:

The trees in the library parking lot are brilliantly red this season and glow almost blinding in the sun. I have enjoyed watching the leaves turn, and finally remembered to bring my camera and get some snapshots today before my shift began. The early afternoon light was so bright that it was hard to get the right settings on my camera, but I am still happy with some of my results, and thought I would procrastinate writing by sharing some on my blog.
