Blame Sophie

For some time recently, I have considered starting a blog. I frequently journal things which I could easily adjust into blog posts, and enjoy posting the occasional thought on Google Plus, so I wondered if blogging might be suited to my tastes. However, I easily convinced myself out of the silly notion. Why would I start blogging, since I surely would chicken out within a week, or as soon as I clicked 'create blog'? Even aside from that, why would I ever desire to publicly post my thoughts and then foist them upon my poor friends?

Yesterday, Sophie told me that I should start a blog, and informed me that she would like to read the kinds of things I might post. Thus, I am making this bold venture, and if nobody but Sophie reads this, at least she shall be satisfied.

Also, Sophie is responsible for my delightful web address, "increasingly abnormal". Practically everything I tried was taken, but nobody was brave enough to claim that one, and I am grateful to her for the suggestion.

I haven't the faintest idea how to end this blog post, so I shall end with a quote that has nothing to do with any of this:

“Picking five favorite books is like picking the five body parts you'd most like not to lose.”

― Neil Gaiman

  1. You already "foist" your thoughts often enough; at least with a blog, you can edit them first, wot? I am eager to see what comes of this, and I applaud your ending of the post with an unrelated quote. Perhaps you should make that a habit.

    1. I second the motion to have an unrelated quote at the end of every post. Huzzah for democracy!

  2. xD Well, it's one thing to foist my thoughts on famliy and close friends, and quite another to foist them upon the world at large.

    Yes, perhaps I shall. x)

  3. I'll look forward to reading your blog, although I guess it will be something like chewing on bamboo.

  5. So I can post on your blog as Sherlock posting on Watson's blog, right?
